Health Insurance

Provided that your health insurance plan covers acupuncture, health insurance is accepted for payment. Many insurance plans do cover acupuncture. Some common companies that have plans that cover acupuncture include: CIGNA, United, Empire, and Guardian.

What to ask your health insurance company to find out if you are covered for acupuncture:

Are you covered for acupuncture by an out-of-network licensed Acupuncturist (not an MD)?
What percentage will they pay?
Is there a deductible that needs to be met first?
